This is a great question, where to begin. I also received a similar question about short term and long term goals I will be posting soon. Be sure to come back and read that post
This is a great question, where to begin. I also received a similar question about short term and long term goals I will be posting soon. Be sure to come back and read that post in the next few days because this question goes even deeper…
Think about one thing you have done for yourself. Can’t think of anything? Well, it’s time that changes.
Everything we do usually involves our kids, our husband, or someone around us, even our employer. Can’t name something you have done for yourself? You need to reset the brain, mind/spirit, and body.
Where to start? Take one day off of work. This sounds much harder for some of us. So I will dare you! Who can turn down a DARE? I dare you to take one day off of work and do something you love.
Even if that means staying home after you take the kids to school or make your husband take the kids to school. LOL Make yourself your favorite breakfast. Don’t dabble into chores like laundry etc. Go somewhere you want or stay home. I love to stay home and blog. It’s MY thing. Get your nails done, take a walk in nature. In order to move forward with self care you need time to think about your short term and long term goals. This is part of doing something for you.
A lot of the time we get burnt out or discouraged because we don’t have a vision for ourselves in mind. Start simple!
1. What do you want most for yourself? Your answer should have at least 3-5 items on your agenda. They can range from health to improving your marriage or parenting skills, or to one day retire. After you establish the things you want for yourself, your next question will be 2. How do I get there?
This is where short and long term goals come in… Stay Tuned.
This is a great start to our blog as we build this together and unite as women and talk about our strengths and weaknesses. I personally love to have an appreciation journal. The appreciation journal is part of my self-care. This type of journal is slightly different from free style journaling.
I came upon getting an appreciation journal when I was in for a session of integrative energy therapy (IET) the therapist mentioned to me she felt it would be a good idea and benefit me to write down why I am grateful. I, like most of us, tend to forget… #guilty Check this appreciation journal out on amazon. This is the EXACT one I have and I LOVE IT!
